TYSONS LAST FOREST

Be Informed.  Be Inspired.  Get Involved.

Located in Tysons, Virginia, Old Courthouse Spring Branch Stream Valley Park provides 33 acres of protected parkland, forest, and stream valley.  Nearby residents call it “Tysons Last Forest,” they fought to save it from a highway ramp, and they are working with the Fairfax County Park Authority to provide this sustainable resource.

Please peruse this Tysons Last Forest site to learn about the benefits of the stream valley, the importance of clean water, and the necessity of the floodplain, among others.

This site was created by the Neighborhood Coalition to Save Tysons Last Forest – over fifteen neighborhood associations, hard-working adult volunteers, girl and boy scouts, and creative students.  The Neighborhood Coalition thanks Transurban and Fluor 495 Express Lanes Community Grant Program and Sosne Kondé Policy Solutions, PLLC for their support.

Enjoy the site.  Learn about Tysons Last Forest.  Be inspired.  By working together, we can all make a difference!
